Question Game studio is deciding what to do about the gameplay

A member of the French Ultimate Tenkaichi forum who has been in touch with Namco Bandai Community Manager in the last 24 hours, and has posted this response :

    Hello Alexander.
Yes, sure, I saw the feedbacks from the core players of Dragon Ball. The survey confirmed the feeling and is the regular exchange we are doing with the dev team, we send the survey results in order to tweak the gameplay of the game. Now the game studio is deciding what to do. I hope I will have great news to share with the whole community soon.

    Thanks
    Tony

This is not really news. We already know that UT won't be on Gamescom this year.

I still dont know if it will be a drastic change. I mean the best thing to do is take out QTE, but it looks like they already set that in stone with the new gameplay. I like how they bring a DB feel. But I dont like how pursues or combos are not manual anymore. But I'm more disappointed about the boss fights. So much potential yet they fail to use it.

What makes you think they're not manual?

This was also on facebook from Tony as he is aware of the gameplay not satisfying and probably turning off a vast majority.
Well It seems people dont like what they see, I hope they can give us a compramise. I like the Spirit Guage system and the ursuit cutscene, it actually gives the full feel that Kiai cannons push you FAR away through rubble. Ki Vollying struggles was a nice surprise and longer clases are nice but I too would rather free gameplay and more movement options then what currently is placed. I like many would rather move in a much smoother fashion like GTA has then hover and dash forward and backward only. We have ground, so we should use it, we have feet, we should follow the original function.

I had hoped for ESF level gameplay visuals and Zenkai mechanic influences, so far if the game stays the way it is, even a 3D glasses edition wont save my purchase. At least voices are coming clear however Im curious of whats being said.

My guess is that they won't fix the glitches or the AI, just improve on everything else.

I've said this a million times that the gameplay would look kinda dull w/o some of the QTEs, but hey if they wanna cut down all of them due to the bitching and moaning, that's their choice. I mean after all, this game is unique like everyone asked for, a DBZ game that ain't some kind of rehash. I'm just hoping for more depth in combos and more harder boss fights. I have a feeling that Spike might either make the bosses have a new ability in each difficulty or just make them faster than ever.

The biggest problem in terms of gameplay is that it is somewhat luck-based, you know that "rock-paper-scissors" scene after the combo. If they somehow change it up so that playing the game requires complete skill and not "who happens to press the lucky button" then the game will be much improved.

The whole gameplay doesn't need to be changed.

Spike complained that the "hardcore" fans were a bit unreasonable and that the franchise had somehow derailed from the average and casual gamers.
