Hi im new here and still not sure how things work anyways. Will the Dubbed version be redone or will it be recycled?
Hey,
- Yesterday Tuesday May 18th saw the release of Dragon Ball Z Kai: Season One Part One on Blu-Ray and DVD! Did you pick up this release? What did you think of it?
Thoughts?
- In related news, Funimation recently interviewed DBZ vets Chris Sabat and Seán Schemmel. Click Here to watch the interview at Dragon Radar!
Man, shenron, I THOUGHT DBZK would be a robust. I was outspoken....
I'm currently watching Kai on DVD and I have to say:
I DON'T like it as much as DBZ. (Not to say I dislike it...)
The opening animation is justÂ*jaw dropping and the translation has never been better.
HOWEVER, it's NOT DBZ, nor does it have the same "feel" as DBZ, so if you honestly want to watch DBZ as it was originally broadcast, then I HIGHLY recommend picking up either the orange "brick" set or buy up those Dragonboxes.
The GOOD thing about Kai IS the faster pace, and it does follow the manga almost perfectly.
If you ask me though, the real meat and potatoes is in the FULL 291 episodes of DBZ.
(not to mention MUCH longer fights)
@Johann S- You REALLY should watch the original. Hearing that you "dropped" DBZ is likeÂ*blasphemy! LOL!Â*You spend so much time here posting, youÂ*REALLY shouldÂ*spend just a little moreÂ*time WATCHING.
I love DBZ Kai. I'm really glad a new generation gets to watch this series. It also takes me back from when I came home with DBZ on TV. With it having less filers in the series it has made it move swiftly. In Japan DB Kai is already in the Android saga and it's on episode 50 something while it was 100 something on DBZ.
