Penalties for People Dropping out of Ranked Matches.

I know I'm not alone. You are toward the end of a match, you've either totally dominated the fight or have more than double your opponents health remaining. One move will finish the fight. Suddenly, 7 dragon balls appear on your screen. The next thing you see, "Your opponent has left the match" . Easily the most anger inducing statement known to any ranked DB: Raging blast player. I have played for the past few days and can say without exageration that I have had at least 50 people quit out of ranked matches with me. Now one can understand the occassional disconnect. No one's internet connection is perfect. But there is no excuse for these people partaking in matches that invoke ranking to drop out at the last second. But, alas, there is no penalty for someone dropping out of a ranked match. No, all they lose is the 5 minutes or so of their lives that the match lasted and then they can move along their merry way. I admit, I have lost my nerve on several occassions and sent profanity filled xbox live messages to these below par players. But it is not because they are not as good at the game as I may have been. It's because they chose to show no honor and drop out of the match. As I stated before, I know I am not alone. There must be others out there with the exact same issue. If the game creaters are capable of creating downloaded characters, they should be able to add some sort of penalty for people dropping out in the middle of the match. Please, everyone respond to this post who agrees with me. Hell if you disagree with me then please respond too. But at least offer some form of valid argument. Thank you.

Yes,I tottaly agree this is the main reason why online play in Raging Blast is bad.Well i had a experiment with people leaving the match i played 15 people in day and 13 out of them disconnected when I was kicking butt.I was really annoyed of this so now I only fight people i know and trust that won't disconnect on me.

Yeah I am starting to get that way. The competitive side of me wants to achieve that A++ ranking. But my wallet will only be able to handle replacing only so many controllers that have been thrown and broken in anger. I have a few friends I play tournaments and such with online, I may just resign myself to player matches and the like. Thanks for your inmput.

Their excuses is spamming, So what if people spam. Its a legal way to play. There is no right reason to disconnect. They should be penalized by losing double points they would normally lose from losing the battle.

Spamming also should be stopped somehow it ruins the fun when you see your oppenent's character keepsÂ*saying "Kamehameha" or some other move that kind gets annoying with the same move every freaking time.

fully agreed, now i may not a beast at rb (heck i've had my butt kicked plenty times) but i don't punk out of my matches. besides, there's nothing training can't help

i also think that if it's a connection error they shouldn't getÂ*penalized you just get points

I agree completely! Like I said, internet connections suck, all it would take is linking their loss of points to when they select the "return to main menu" option from the pause menu. Thanks for the responses!

I fully agree that spamming is a legal way to play. But I have to say that I do not spam as it's just not my tactical style. I usually go mostly all martial arts with a few super's thrown in occassionally to break up the monotony. Either way, as you said there is no reason to disconnect. Thanks for the response!

So what if your opponent keeps using the same move, its your fault you keep falling to them. Beat them and move on. DCers needs penalties like no tomorrow. A loss a double the normal points is fine. Plus everyones def of spamming is different. Just make the move weaker after repeated use. Some people just need to stop blaming their sucky skills on other people its annoying and a reason ain't doing ranked matches. I don't feel playing with a bunch a babies.
