I think Namco needs to give this series better treatment. We need better companies for this title.
Im not bashing spike, (not anymore) Its just they dont seem to fully get what we need for these games and too much time is passing for my interest, Okay sure, they can please the less intelligent, more childish side of the fanbase with gimmicks and character creation but what about the veterans? The other half that cares about the detail and playability of the games? I don't feel that this game got the development production it really needed, and it just seems too incomplete. This should have been the definitive game for DBZ but it just isnt that right now. With a new Dev team in for a fresh start I think Namco needs to change how they make these games, Pleasing the fanboys or younger kids for a 200,000 profit isnt and shouldn't be a company's standard. They need to stop trying to please the fans of the series and bring in a newer audience of harder gamers. So far from who they have to rely on now is not helping the game improve, constant whining over one section of the roster (GT) constant crying for gimmicks that don't change the game's play. (Creation and a "new" story..)
Namco needs to be realistic now, I know they dont want to alienate but from what I've seen the only portion of fans they would be "alienating" are impressed by anything anyway. What Namco needs to do is change the formula.
Production / Interaction:
Filtering is needed to elimiate the flux of crying babies and bring the action beninificial suggestions to the surface. How namco should determine a suggestion's value? I don't know but the more detailed and explainitory it is the better the message it will be to who really cares about what. How to determine the relevance is the challange, an AF fan coul write an Essay about why SSj5 needs to be in the game.
Possibly, these suggestions should be reviewed by professionals that can regulate and give an autopsy on the content value.
Or they should collect Ideas from forums that have a representative. We all submit ideas that are voted on then the passed ones go onto a list of what needs to be used for the future of games, similar to how our discussions are here.
Development:
Either extend production time and actually invest in the game, because fans that really care about the series can wait a bit longer..
Or get 2 developers to handle the games, we need developers that are familiar with fighting games so the engine can be worked out properly but also someone that knows the anime material. I support this idea mostly. Have a company like or similar to Project soul who are experts on fighting games do the engine and only the engine based on how they think the series would work with, they have a seperate community were we can post our gameplay suggestions in a serious manner on balance and what needs to be featured. Have the other company that is more experienced and more familiar with visuals... Cyberconnect is my vote, they do the storymode, visuals, effects and accuracy to the anime.. the main word is two so the work can be divided. I feel that Spike has too much pressure on themselves having to work with aspects only sacrificing the quality of them. If rumors are true and Soul calibur 5 already has this suggestion in place then its clear which is the smarter company and who has more realistic goals.
For obvious reasons.

What to Keep:
So far the only thing I like about Ultimate tenkaichi is the content and the character models.
Anything else feel free to write.
