I find it increasingly hard to not become some crackpot conspiracy theorist because the US government is getting less & less subtle with their evil plan to enslave us all. It already bothers me deeply that when I'm going back to my home country for vacation in the next 2 years I'll be forced to either be exposed to harmful radiation & expose my insides for all to see OR I'll have to get my d*** groped by some buff, sexually frustrated dude. Its obvious that the government won't stop until we get billed for breathing oxygen, instead of fighting terrorism like they say they are, they are actually BEING terrorists.

This nice bill basically puts an end to the live streams of high level SF4 & MvC3 I enjoy. Now to all of you little newblets jumping for joy, it also puts an end to any footage on youtube of any form of media YOU enjoy. You can't upload more than 10 vids in a 6 month period. X-f***ing-D. That's ass wouldn't you agree?

Now I may have too much time on my hands & not much of a social life. If I was as busy as I was at one point maybe I wouldn't even notice this kind of stuff but I do notice & I do give a crap because the last thing we need are more rules & more ways to extract money from our bank accounts. So click the link, sign your name, email & address & SEND IT DAMMIT.

Or be prepared to live in a world where you can't watch video guides or tutorials or you can't upload your gameplay OF ANYTHING & show off.

I'm just saying, it's bullshit from politicans. They don't understand the internet. But this isn't an only USA phenomen, that politicans don't understand the interet. German established politicans don't understand even gaming, the main objective of shooters, competitive gaming, internet of course and others.
Sometimes, I'm just asking, why these guys in the parlament are representing us and doing bullshit.

This is alarming but of course this bill won't work, it will also target the politicians themselves since nobody is above the law, not even regents. So if this would become a reality it would function as a double-edged sword. Sure you might be able to stop commerce of online media, but you would also stop yourselves in the progress, this is why it won't work.

Of course they don't understand the internet & gaming, this is crap coming from out of touch morons who have no idea about anything. You want to make streaming illegal? Then why is Capcom rep Seth FREAKIN' Killian at several tournaments ON STREAM, doing commentary & doing his best to trying to bring in more players for SF4 & Marvel?

Here's the thing, Capcom looks the other way when it comes to steaming because that's free advertisement of their product. Suppose another Daigo moment happens at EVO. What we can't upload that for everyone to see on youtube cuz we don't have permission from Capcom? Christ, these assholes never solve real issues, they are always looking out for big companies & rich people & that's why this country is a pile of crap.

Totally not surprised at all. It was to be expected from our loving gubment.
Apparently the bill has been drafted by both Democrats and repubs.
So congress as a whole deserves this... ┌∩┐(o_o)┌∩┐

I'm Canadian so it's hard for me to understand Us politics much since your system is different then ours. However I doubt it's actually going to pass so I'm not very worried.

I highly doubt this will happen.
However I'll sign and repost it around places.
Good catch.

Good sh!t Spyky. It doesn't only affect the US, it affects us all since most sites & YT operate out of the US.

I truly believe that this government is hell bent on making our lives as miserable as possible before we die.

@GF9 - Not too long before they start trying to find ways to control outdoor activity to ab even more absurd degree.

No way! Well I mostly go outside to play sports like basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and volleyball with family and friends to spare some time and go to the gym to stay in shape, not working out to become a freak. (no offense to you or anyone who has a buff body. I'm almost like a skeleton BTW, but with great tancity and strength)

As for this thing you're talking about, that's almost nothing compared to the video game situation. You know what it was about right?

Good GF9, men should be physically skilled & powerful its about 60% of what masculinity is defined by. It will serve you well in your older years assuming of course you eat a balanced diet. You play lacrosse eh? What's that like?

Also I'm not buff yet, I aim to look somewhat like Gohan or Goku did in the Buu Saga, buff(not USSJ2 buff) but lean without being a skeleton like yourself.

The Video game situation? Tell me.

Now i may not have a Youtube account, and i am in Sweden. How much sense would it be for them to arrest me, halfway across the earth? Oh and if this "bill" does actually happen, do you seriously think that even half of the populace will give a damn about that bill anyway???

ProjectLDV

You wouldn't have to give a damn but when half of youtube is taken down due to copyright issues, it will sting quite a bit for a while.

You really think this law would actually work? I mean, imagine the amount of people who'd be doing it anyway, it'd just be too much for them to handle. They may start strong, but after awhile, think, "f*** it". That's what I think anyway.

This bill has strong backing from movie producers & such. They want this bill to stop people from streaming & downloading their stuff but that will also apply to anime & games.

Like i said before, a double-edged sword. They want to stop everyone from using the Internet to ones advantage, but at the same time they also want us to purchase their games and such Online, but of course they didn't think this through enough! In short words: They want us to participate in bartering Online, but they will prevent everyone from doing so, so the former one is impossible anyway.

I still doubt it will work, after awhile they will just stop removing them. Well, that is unless they hire and pay people specifically to remove videos. Than it would be like a profession of some sort .. lol?..

But it would be a very boring one at that.
