As expected UNS2 sold quite well, almost as much as T6. This pretty much guarantees a UNS3, but when will it be released? Next year or the year after(barring a global cataclysm)?

Well, the only thing announced last night was Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact for the PSP (http://twitter.com/#!/Filthierich/status/68201992195026944).

Hmmm. I can't say I'm really looking forward to a UNS3, it seems like it will be all glamour & no gameplay.

I'm guessing that it'll be announced next year becuase the story hasn't gotten far enough to warrant a sequel.

I was thinking that as well. By next year *spoilers* the anime should be at the 4th ninja war(IIRC).

UNS3 will come, after the manga comes to an end.
It's not really that much:
Only a Ninja world war against Madara/Tobi/good boy.

I wonder if they would make the Awakenings have Ultimate Jutsus again? Sasuke has been doing some sick with that mangekyou sharingan

FYI everybody, we have a [spoiler] bbCode tag. Wrap your spoilers in that tag and it'll be a better solution.

Am I the only person who liked UNS2? Apart from the lack of modes I thought it was pretty fun. Although I wouldn't get excited for an UNS3, though I guess I'd probably still buy it.

No, about 1.1 million others liked it as well. If you're not excited for a game, why buy it? Explain this reasoning to me.

When I say I'm not excited for it, I mean I'm not like how I'd be/am for DBZ games. Basically right now I couldn't care less about the next game in the naruto series. I follow the manga and anime of naruto and I think it's great, but unlike I do for DBZ, I don't follow the games months in advance. However, when closer to the date I'd probably begin to get excited for it.

Meh, UNS2 is the opposite of DBZ games - all story little substance in combat. The combat is essentially mash B

That may be true, however despite that I still found TONS more enjoyment in that game than RB2 (1) ever game me. I could play UNS2 online for ages, trying to beat the same guy over and over again. On the other hand I can only play RB2 online (or offline) for 2-3 games (4 if very lucky), then I instantly become bored out of my wits. The last time I played the game, I think probably about a month, or longer, ago I finally quit forcing myself to play it and wanted to sell it. Now I don't usually sell my games, I'm the guy who kinda likes to keep a collection, but RB2 forced me into that feeling.
UNS2 has never done that to me before.

Wow really?
I played the UNS2 demo 1 or 2 times and got bored out of my mind, whilst I played RB2 demo for 2 hours.

And thats the thing! I played the RB2 demo for ages as well and became really excited for the game, however the instant I bought the game I honestly became really bored. I was actually disapointed straight away. I played through the training, if you can really call it training, and a bit of the galaxy mode, and I was sad. I did try to convince myself that it just needs some getting used to. Back then I used to go on the Gamespot forums, and I remember people saying "I told you so, you should of waited till RB3", and I tried to defend it. Never did I think that I would agree with them.
But the demo for UNS2 wasn't all that. You would have to play the full game to enjoy it. On that game I would always meet people online want to challenge them again. It was fun. Thats what RB2 is missing "fun". I know that may be opinion based, but to all the people who don't like RB2 that is the main problem imo. Anyone can see that RB2 has many many improvements from RB1, but do those improvements actually make the game more enjoyable? No, it just makes sure theres a matter of time till you get bored.
Even though UNS2 may not seem like as much in gameplay, those minorities are what actually make it a lot more enjoyable.
This is also a reason why I dislike the 'realistic' design in RB2, makes it all feel a lot less what a game should be like.

Same here, I cant even get through a 5 v 5 match. The last time I played I got bored after killing 3 opponents; didnt even finish the whole match.
Before that, I would instantly get bored at the character select screen and I kid you not.
To this day, I still enjoy UNS. Whether its VS mode, or Boss Battle mode...I can still enjoy it. Where as RB2, I didnt dare pressing the A button on Galaxy Mode after I beat it. Couldnt even finish Battle Zone because it was so horrible

Lol, I feel you there, like the whole atmosphere of it or somethin just somehow instantly un-interests you.
I havent even completed galaxy mode, there just isn't any motive for me. At first I went through just so I could unlock all the characters; aside from that I have no motive what-so-ever. Every time I attempt Galaxy mode I feel completely de-motivated.
Sometimes I wonder (actually I don't but what the hell), when did DBZ games get so bad?

I can relate to loving RB2's demo then getting bored after buying it. But the demo for UN2 was a boss battle which in my opinion is the only good thing about it. The online was horrid for me and I only played 4-5 matched which consisted on my opponent spamming moves. I vary my moves (which makes me a better player in comparison IMO) and don't spam so even if I lose I feel that at least I played well.
And DBZ games got bad upon the release of (if not after the release of) Budokai Tenkaichi 3. The game scarcely changed from BT2 to BT3 and it began to feel stale. Actually, maybe it was the transition from dimps to Spike? I can say I like Budokai 3 more than Budokai Tenkaichi 3 despite loving DB simulators more for the DB feel.

I hope they utilize the jutsu button in the next one. I mean, why couldnt there be triangle/Y + O/B (left, right, down, up)? That wouldnt do harm
Also I hope they make ultimates available for Awakenings again. I was disappointed with 4 Tails :/ could have been way better imo

I like the idea of pressing an arrow on the pad for a different jutsu. It would be a lot better to have more than 1 or 2 jutsu to use.
